Recommended Artists and Friends

There are many sources for blank masks and i do not limit myself to just working with my own masks, masks can be obtained from any source and sent to me for painting as can any type of props.

Currently i am recommending two sources for blank hockey masks.

I have known Jeff Flynn for many years now, he is an independent artist with 10 years experience based in Brooklyn New York. He produces excellent quality reproduction hockey mask blanks in a varaity of styles and is well known for his fast reliable service. Jeff does more than just hockey mask blanks too, here is a link to Jeff's website.

Fright Stuff is another source for blank hockey masks, i would recommend contacting Ken Tarallo the owner directly first as he works for long periods away from home and is not always able to ship out masks immediately. Fright stuff offer blank hockey masks in various styles as well as other latex products. Here is a link to the store.

There are so many great artists around in the hobby today that really people are spoiled for choice. Below are artists that i have either worked with or purchased from for my personal collection that i can recommend for many different products and projects.

Richie/Crash Cunningham is an artist i have worked along side in the past, his work is exceptional. Crash has produced incredible art work both drawn and sculpted. I own one of Crash's project 82 hockey masks and it by far the most accurate reproduction i have ever owned. He is a true professional and nice guy who shares his passions with the community. Here is a link to Crash's site Crash Creations.

Justin 'Auz' Williams is another artist i can highly recommend. Justin has been painting hockey masks to an excellent standard recently and they caught my eye enough to add one to my collection. He is a very genuine person to deal with and takes his work very seriously. Although Justin is still working on his website you can keep up to date with his latest work on his facebook page.

Gene 'Clownnation' Reaves. I have known Gene for many years, to start with Gene assisted with my former website and forum before becoming an artist in his own right. He is someone i have been able to completely rely on in the past and always delivers. All round good guy that produces great work. You can find Gene here.

Jon Fuller in my opinion is one of the most talented artists to have emerged in recent years and has made some incredible sculptures. Jon is experienced in television work as well as producing custom work and undertaking private commissions. I have had the pleasure of seeing Jon's work in person and it is very life like and very scary! His site can be found here Monster Asylum

Jason Farrell as well as creating some stunning reproduction work has done extensive research into the history and origins of Jason's hockey mask and you can see pictures of Jason's work and read his interesting findings at his blog.

Paul at Darkside studio has been around making masks since 1995 and has produced some brilliant work and at brilliant prices. He is well known for his excellent customer service and great enthusiasm for his work. You can find pictures of the mask line up at Paul's site Darkside Studio.

Josh, Raymond and Landon run Beyond Disgusting Studios a place to find all manner of horror related items including masks props and costumes. I have worked along side Josh in the past and can highly recommend his products and service.

Justin Mabry is the artist/owner of Nightowl Productions a very talented and highly respected artist. He has been producing horror masks for over 15 years and his work is extremely sought after. He covers a wide range of horror icons and i have owned several masks made by Justin over the years.

For all things Horror related take a look at Justin Ray's Facebook page Midnight Hour Creations. It's a great place to pick up some great products as well as discuss all things horror related.

I often see work by upcoming artists that impresses me and someone who i think will develop into a great artist is Ryan Braiser, you can see Ryan's work at his facebook page.

John C Jarrell III is another artist who's work has impressed many collectors in the community today. John has a great eye for detail and produces some excellent V'S style jackets and prop weapons. He currently has a facebook page where you can view his work Frighteous Fx

Here is a link to Friday the 13th the Film Franchise website.

I will be updating this page with more artists and their services soon.
